Dante Alighieri, a cartographer and former scholar, has disappeared inside Il Contrapasso: a sovereign casino buried beneath Treftiel's lower tiers, infamous for accepting Soul Coins—fragments of memory, emotion, or time wagered by its patrons. Beatrice has turned to the Registry to commission a recovery team to find Dante and bring him back alive.

To aid in the operation, the Registry has reactivated Vergilius, an obsolete warforged once tied to the casino's original architecture and records. Within Il Contrapasso, both its security and guests are known to become violent when provoked. Proceed with caution.
