Senja

Senja is a lesser deity of the in-between. She stands on the razor edge separating dreams and reality, day from night, and absolute control from unbridled chaos. Neither bright day nor pitch night, she embodies the twilight, where logic unravels and rigid laws collapse into fantasy.

She targets absolutes and seeks to break them. For Senja those who claim an absolute truth are simply begging to be humbled.She is equally likely to sabotage a grand ritual by turning a cataclysmic spell into a shower of soap bubbles, loop a knight in a surreal dream sequence, or rewrite sacred texts overnight with sarcastic margin notes.

Senja also may interfere on those in between two forces: consciousness and sleep, order and chaos, madness and humanity. In that fragile middle zone between the two, she forces their minds into the in-between, inducing vivid, waking hallucinations where dream realm bleeds into physical reality, sometimes helping those who are affected.

After her influence she leaves behind glowing glittering butterflies. Touching them has an unexpected either waking one from a deep dream, breaching an illusion, or teleporting the unsuspecting victim to an unexpected location.

Worship

Her followers, ranging from wild magic sorcerers, dream-weavers, and illusionists to desperate rogues and iconoclasts who seek her to shatter unbreakable curses, stage impossible acts, or mock tyrannical authority.

Although rare in some parts of the world there is a sufficient congregations of people who worship this goddess often building tall, structures ussually hanging off of cliffs with quick communication between the top and bottom. This allows the followers to perceive the as if the sun sets twice, causing the moment in-between to linger if but a passing moment.

Those devout to the goddess often pray indulging in play to mimick and humour the deity that often does the same.
